Rep Edmonds was raised by a hardworking single mother who showed him what perseverance, faith, and service look like in real life. She taught him that caring for people is not something you say, it is how you show up, how you treat others, and whether you are there when your community needs you.

As a younger brother, Rep Edmonds grew up grounded in family and the values that come with knowing where you come from. Those values; humility, hard work, gratitude, and service, still guide him today as a husband to Jasmine, nonprofit founder, community leader, and State Representative for Florida House District 88.

Building Opportunity

Before serving in the Florida House, Rep Edmonds worked in both the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives. He saw firsthand how government decisions affect a family’s ability to afford a home, find opportunity, and feel heard.
That is why Rep Edmonds founded CareerReady: to help young people prepare for college, careers, and life after high school. He believes a student’s future should not be limited by their ZIP code, family income, or access to connections.
